Project Description:

Jael Eunice Sanchez Dominguez, was 1 of 10 children born to a poor Panamanian family in the Province of Cocle. The source of my inspiration is my love for nature and capturing the sublime of everything. This has come from what my father taught me. I believe that working hard is necessary to achieve our goals, and I also try to reflect that feeling in my work. I like the topic of children working, because through this I can raise awareness that farmers are persistent people, that our life is not easy; but thanks to education when we grow up we are persons with values and can appreciate what we get with our efforts.

With every brush-stroke, the art has led me to vent the nobler feelings and reflect the beauty of my being. I reflect in my paintings what I can not express with words. The brush-strokes may look simple, but everyone of them has a piece of my soul.

I love painting so I fought hard to get where I am now. It has been difficult but not impossible. Currently I do not have a stable place to work my paintings as I would like. For lack of money I could not finish my studies is the Bachelor of Arts, which is one of my dreams.

Thanks God I can say that I have been doing good in my job, since the Art in the Park Foundation has opened a lot of doors for me. In 2010 I won a scholarship of art materials for a year, which has helped me a lot.
