Jackson began a photographers journey over 30 years ago shooting room size industrial machinery using a large view camera and Fuji transparency film. “One day I decided to lug all this heavy studio gear out on the trails. After viewing the wall size prints of Texas Blue bonnets I was hooked.” It took many years for digital technology to match the exquisite color and detail of transparency film. “Besides I needed a mule to carry the studio gear on the trails, so when technical cameras came of age, hiking again was fun.” Now you will find me in search of sunrises, mossy rocks and streams, colorful plants, waterfalls, unique trees, hillsides and vistas of nature. To me it’s about the prints gracing walls with beauty. Big prints that bring breathless moments of presence indoors. So many places to enjoy here in Latin America… just getting started all over again!
